Nohmad Packaging Redesign

Bringing attraction and brand loyalty to a Chocolate Brand that is making “guilty pleasures” not so guilty.

The Objective

Nohmad Snack Co is a fair trade, organic, small batch chocolate company with the mission to “discover what tastes good and what is good for you”. The company is redesigning their packaging to grab more attention from the shelf, while still being true to their brand.

The Solution

 

Nohmad’s new packaging and social media elevate the previous brand with cohesive and confident color, brand pattern, and familiar textures and photographic style.

 

The Packaging
Inviting and Elevated

Brand Expansion: The color scheme is directly inspired by the ingredients of each product, balancing bold and rich colors with natural neutrals to communicate the brand’s devotion to healthy, natural products. Nohmad’s pattern system integrates different ingredients into each cacao bean arrangement based on the product flavor, emphasizing the importance of whole food ingredients in Nohmad Chocolate and aligning with their aim to keep their products as unprocessed as possible.

Old Packaging

Brand Continuity: Familiar textures– Rose Gold embossed logo, cardboard packaging material, and marble product backgrounds– maintain the parts of the brand that work. Cardboard connects to sustainability, while the rose gold embossed logo and marble photo backgrounds elevate the product with simple elegance. The new typefaces are a close match to the original packaging apart from their more expanded look, to better span across horizontal spaces, rather than vertical.

 
 

Social Media
Refined and Clever

The subdued color palette of Nohmad’s new social strategy creates a space for relaxation and simple elegance. Pops of color keep the feed light and fun without becoming overwhelming. The brand pattern is integrated as a photo frame that is specific for each product being promoted, making it very easy to navigate to your favorites. Recipes are also integrated into the feed to encourage CGM and creativity within the Nohmad following.
