Make the Change Nest Campaign

The Objective

Google Nest Thermostat is targeting young adults and eco-friendly homeowners with their budget-friendly Thermostat. They hope to communicate how their product can save energy while saving you money.

The Solution

The campaign inspires and empowers its audience to make a change by connecting the Nest Thermostat’s mirrored display with Micheal Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror.” This theme is translated across video advertising, print ad, & social media.

Student Project

  • The interactive campaign flyer allows users to pull tabs from the back of the piece to reveal positive themes as the thermostat temperature rises into eco mode.

  • Similar to Google’s previous advertising styles, the Nest commercial utilizes a combines found footage and video of users interacting with the product, overlaid with music and inspirational VoiceOver.

  • Social Media content reiterates the themes and visuals from the commercial, using the nest thermostat as a mirror.

  • The google brand is represented in the campaign by maintaining the same color pallet and font
